Anyone else feel this way? My family moved here when I was a kid. With a population of 7,996, Butner is a small town. Homes are going for about $225,600 on average. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The suburbs are where most families end up. What do you all think? Thanks! Night life is decent if you know the right spots. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Property taxes are high but you get good services. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The weather takes some getting used to.
