Just moved to Cambridge, any tips?

My family moved here when I was a kid. Average temperature is around 58--F, so the weather is moderate. It's a a small town city with about 13,094 people. Homes are going for about $254,400 on average. Crime rate is something to consider -Cambridge sits at 970.3 per 100K. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Property taxes are high but you get good services. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The city has invested a lot in new development. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Public transit is decent here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it's exactly what I was looking for.
