Considering Cambridge vs Austin -help me decide

OK so I'm a teacher here and You can expect to pay around $1,232 for rent here. It's a a small town city with about 9,992 people. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Should I be concerned? The suburbs are where most families end up. The weather takes some getting used to.

Is Cambridge a good place to live?

Not sure if this has been asked before, but I'm a college student here and The median home value here is around $234,800, which is actually reasonable. It's a a small town city with about 9,992 people. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Is this normal for Cambridge?
