Not sure if this has been asked before, but I'm a college student here and The median home value here is around $234,800, which is actually reasonable. It's a a small town city with about 9,992 people. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Is this normal for Cambridge?

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 2-bedroom. it's not perfect but it works for me. Compared to Chicago it's pretty good.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 4 years ago from Pittsburgh and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Uptown. It's pretty good for what you get.
Jobs: The market is established right now, especially in consulting. If you're in manufacturing you might struggle.
People: Generally underrated. It took about 11 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: underrated. Tons of options if you like Italian.
