Pros and cons of Cape Coral after 14 years

Been meaning to ask this. I'm a remote worker and Crime rate is something to consider — Cape Coral sits at 116.4 per 100K. Average temperature is around 75°F, so it's warm year-round. Household incomes average around $76,062 in Cape Coral. The suburbs are where most families end up. It's changing fast — some good, some not so much. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's changing fast — some good, some not so much. The suburbs are where most families end up. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The city has invested a lot in new development.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. the quality of life is solid. Internet is better than expected in most areas.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want cost of living, then yeah this place is great. But if walkability matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.
