Cape Girardeau is underrated, change my mind

Random thought, I'm a remote worker and With a population of 40,047, Cape Girardeau is a smaller city. Crime rate is something to consider -Cape Girardeau sits at 581.4 per 100K. Average temperature is around 57--F, so the weather is moderate. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Used to live on the The Heights side, now on the Midtown side. Completely different vibe. I love the pace of life here.
