First post here. I'm a college student here and Household incomes average around $123,972 in Cedar Park. Poverty rate is 5.0%, which is pretty low. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The weather takes some getting used to. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Would love some local perspective. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The weather takes some getting used to. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a HR manager who relocated here from Seattle about 11 years ago. The main reasons were retirement and cost of living.
Pros I've experienced:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Active local events and festivals
- Lots of family-friendly activities
Cons that are real:
- Chain restaurants dominate
- Limited shopping options
Financially, we've found it tough compared to where we came from. Older homes are where the value is. Groceries are growing, gas is improving.
Socially, the quality of life is solid. Hope this helps!.
