Hey everyone, I'm originally from Seattle and Rent is about $1,753/month for a decent place. Homes are going for about $474,800 on average. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Thoughts? The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a sales manager who relocated here from New York about 10 years ago. The main reasons were family and family.
Pros I've experienced:
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Good healthcare facilities
- Strong sense of community
Cons that are real:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Urban sprawl is real
Financially, we've found it surprisingly good compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are growing, gas is hit or miss.
Socially, it exceeded my expectations. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
