Moving from Houston to Cedar Park next month

Longtime lurker here, Born and raised here. Homes are going for about $474,800 on average. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Is this normal for Cedar Park? The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The weather takes some getting used to. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that.

My experience has been mostly positive. I genuinely enjoy living here. The only thing I'd watch out for is community vibe. Other than that, Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

As someone who grew up here, it exceeded my expectations. A lot has changed in the past few years though. school system used to be much competitive but now it's solid.

Used to live on the Downtown side, now on the Oak Park side. Completely different vibe. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now.
