Job market in Charlack for tech?

OK so Anyone in a similar situation? The city has invested a lot in new development. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus.

Used to live on the Meadowbrook side, now on the Downtown side. Completely different vibe. it's not perfect but it works for me.

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.

I've been in Eastside for 10 years. Moved from Charlotte for school. Here's my honest, detailed take:

**Housing:**
The market right now is excellent. We bought in 2018 at k and it's now worth down slightly than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 2-bed in a safe area. Lots of new construction which should help.

**Employment:**
tech is strong here. consulting is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are manageable for the area.

**Quality of Life:**
it was the best decision I ever made. The outdoor scene is pretty good - we have rivers within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.

**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Eastside schools are pretty good. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.

**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Winters are long and cold. Bugs and humidity in summer. And cultural scene can be frustrating.

**Bottom line:**
For young professionals, I'd say this is a 7/10. Hope this helps!. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.

I've been living here for 13 years and I'd say I love the pace of life here. The food scene is solid compared to other places I've lived. Overall Definitely worth checking out..

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is healthcare. it's not perfect but it works for me. Worth doing your research before committing.

I've lived in Highland for about 11 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I love the pace of life here. When I first moved here from LA, I was surprised by pet-friendliness. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Close to major attractions
- The school system scene is average

The downsides:
- Winters are long and cold
- Homeless population growing downtown

Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for families. Feel free to reach out with questions..
