First post here. I'm a 50-year-old nurse and The unemployment rate is 5.9%, which is about average. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Should I be concerned? There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Came here for school and stayed because it's not perfect but it works for me. The pet-friendliness is honestly excellent and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 4 years ago from Austin and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in The Heights. It's average for what you get.
Jobs: The market is reasonable right now, especially in construction. If you're in manufacturing you might struggle.
People: Generally better than expected. It took about 7 months to build a solid friend group.
