Chestertown is underrated, change my mind

Property taxes are high but you get good services. What do you all think?

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a HR manager who relocated here from New York about 1 years ago. The main reasons were work and school.

Pros I've experienced:
- Good internet infrastructure
- Active local events and festivals
- Strong sense of community

Cons that are real:
- Winters are long and cold
- Bugs and humidity in summer

Financially, we've found it tough compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are affordable, gas is improving.

Socially, it's been a really good experience overall. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

I'm a project manager and I've found it's exactly what I was looking for. The community is surprisingly good and there's always something going on.

Public transit is underrated here. You'll probably need a car for most things. I genuinely enjoy living here.
