Chestnut Hill job market vs Houston

Not sure if this has been asked before, but Crime rate is something to consider -Chestnut Hill sits at 298.4 per 100K. The unemployment rate is 4.5%, which is about average. You can expect to pay around $1,746 for rent here. Poverty rate is 4.6%, which is pretty low. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Thoughts? TIA! It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The suburbs are where most families end up. Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a real estate agent who relocated here from Pittsburgh about 6 years ago. The main reasons were quality of life and a fresh start.

Pros I've experienced:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Good healthcare facilities
- Active local events and festivals

Cons that are real:
- Not a lot of cultural diversity
- Homeless population growing downtown

Financially, we've found it better than expected compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are established, gas is excellent.

Socially, it was the best decision I ever made. Happy to answer more specific questions..

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want community vibe, then yeah this place is great. But if outdoor recreation matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.
