Thinking about relocating to Chillicothe from Boston

It's a a small town city with about 6,185 people. With a population of 6,185, Chillicothe is a small town. Average temperature is around 51--F, so expect cold winters. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The food scene here is surprisingly good. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The weather takes some getting used to. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The suburbs are where most families end up.

Public transit is decent here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it was the best decision I ever made.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 3-bedroom. I'm still on the fence after all this time. Compared to Minneapolis it's pretty good.
