Anyone regret moving to Chillicothe?

OK so Been living here since 2005. Household incomes average around $49,193 in Chillicothe. Homes are going for about $145,900 on average. The median home value here is around $145,900, which is actually reasonable. Average temperature is around 54--F, so expect cold winters. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Anyone in a similar situation? It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The suburbs are where most families end up. The suburbs are where most families end up. The suburbs are where most families end up. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a lawyer who relocated here from New York about 7 years ago. The main reasons were school and my partner's job.

Pros I've experienced:
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Four distinct seasons
- Strong sense of community

Cons that are real:
- Limited public transit options
- Summers can be brutally hot

Financially, we've found it challenging compared to where we came from. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. Groceries are developing, gas is hit or miss.

Socially, I'm still on the fence after all this time. Feel free to reach out with questions..
