Is Chino worth it salary-wise?

So, Born and raised here. The unemployment rate is 3.7%, which is pretty low. Household incomes average around $103,845 in Chino. Rent is about $2,208/month for a decent place. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The city has invested a lot in new development. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Has anyone dealt with this? Any help is appreciated. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Property taxes are high but you get good services. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The suburbs are where most families end up. The suburbs are where most families end up. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The city has invested a lot in new development. Property taxes are high but you get good services.

I've lived in Westside for about 3 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I have mixed feelings honestly. When I first moved here from San Diego, I was surprised by cost of living. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Close to major attractions
- The school system scene is average

The downsides:
- Urban sprawl is real
- Limited shopping options

Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for families. Happy to answer more specific questions..

OK I'm going to write a proper review because I've seen too many incomplete answers.

Background: I'm a real estate agent, 58, moved here 12 years ago from Atlanta. I've lived in East and Maple Ridge, and traveled to most parts of the metro.

**What I love:**
1. Lots of new development happening
2. Active local events and festivals
3. Affordable housing options
4. The people are generally hit or miss - I found my community within the first year

**What I don't love:**
1. Winters are long and cold
2. Nightlife is limited
3. The safety situation is manageable and doesn't seem to be improving

**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- East: Great for singles. improving vibes, walkable.
- Maple Ridge: More affordable, family-friendly.

**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.

**Cost comparison:**
Coming from Atlanta, everything felt surprisingly good. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are affordable. Gas is growing. You can live comfortably on $60K-$90K here.

**Final verdict:**
Feel free to reach out with questions.. It's not perfect - nowhere is - but for the price point and quality of life, it's hard to beat. DM me if you have specific questions.
