Anyone else feel this way? I'm a remote worker and The median home value here is around $164,900, which is actually reasonable. The unemployment rate is 5.1%, which is about average. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a teacher who relocated here from San Francisco about 8 years ago. The main reasons were cost of living and my partner's job.
Pros I've experienced:
- Good healthcare facilities
- Decent public transit for the size
- Lots of new development happening
Cons that are real:
- Can feel isolated
- Limited shopping options
Financially, we've found it surprisingly good compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are competitive, gas is solid.
Socially, it exceeded my expectations. Happy to answer more specific questions..

My experience has been mostly positive. I'm still on the fence after all this time. The only thing I'd watch out for is food scene. Other than that, Happy to answer more specific questions..
