I work in government and Average temperature is around 71°F, so it's warm year-round. Household incomes average around $51,776 in College Station. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Anyone in a similar situation? Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The suburbs are where most families end up.

I've lived in Midtown for about 8 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. When I first moved here from Pittsburgh, I was surprised by dating scene. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Decent public transit for the size
- Active local events and festivals
- The dating scene scene is surprisingly good
The downsides:
- Not a lot of cultural diversity
- Bugs and humidity in summer
Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for couples. Definitely worth checking out..

I've been living here for 14 years and I'd say I have mixed feelings honestly. The weather is better than expected compared to other places I've lived. Overall Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
