Hi all, Rent is about $1,168/month for a decent place. It's a a mid-size city city with about 122K people. Homes are going for about $326,500 on average. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The suburbs are where most families end up. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Has anyone dealt with this? Night life is decent if you know the right spots. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, I love the pace of life here. Definitely worth checking out..

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem better than expected.
I've been here 13 years and I'm still on the fence after all this time. The thing nobody mentions is community vibe. It's stable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the job market is legit. And if you're into hiking, this place is underrated.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Fairview side vs the South side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Moved here from Charlotte about 2 years ago. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Still getting used to healthcare but Happy to answer more specific questions..

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 4-bedroom. I love the pace of life here. Compared to Denver it's tough.

Public transit is average here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it exceeded my expectations.

Came here for quality of life and stayed because it's exactly what I was looking for. The job market is honestly pretty good and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

My experience has been mostly positive. I'm still on the fence after all this time. The only thing I'd watch out for is walkability. Other than that, Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

Hot take but it's not perfect but it works for me. I know a lot of people disagree but after 12 years here, that's my honest assessment.

Bought a house here in 2020 and the quality of life is solid. Property values have gone about the same since then.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are tough, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

Weather-wise, the summers are tough and winters are established. You get used to it after the first year.
