Starting a business in College Station?

People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Am I wrong here? It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are pretty good, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a physical therapist who relocated here from Dallas about 6 years ago. The main reasons were a job opportunity and weather.

Pros I've experienced:
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Good healthcare facilities
- Strong job market in several industries

Cons that are real:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Limited shopping options

Financially, we've found it better than expected compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are growing, gas is average.

Socially, it's exactly what I was looking for. Good luck with whatever you decide..

Moved here from Nashville about 9 years ago. I love the pace of life here. Still getting used to pet-friendliness but Good luck with whatever you decide..
