Public transit is tough here. You'll probably need a car for most things. I have mixed feelings honestly.

As someone who grew up here, it's not perfect but it works for me. A lot has changed in the past few years though. safety used to be much stable but now it's hit or miss.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a lawyer who relocated here from Minneapolis about 14 years ago. The main reasons were retirement and a job opportunity.

Pros I've experienced:
- Strong job market in several industries
- Good internet infrastructure
- Diverse dining options

Cons that are real:
- Nightlife is limited
- Not very walkable outside downtown

Financially, we've found it average compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are developing, gas is underrated.

Socially, I love the pace of life here. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is outdoor recreation. I genuinely enjoy living here. Worth doing your research before committing.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a HR manager who relocated here from Nashville about 13 years ago. The main reasons were family and retirement.

Pros I've experienced:
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Active local events and festivals
- Close to major attractions

Cons that are real:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Bugs and humidity in summer

Financially, we've found it improving compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are growing, gas is excellent.

Socially, it's not perfect but it works for me. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
