Is public transit usable in Concordia?

Hi all, The median home value here is around $96,100, which is actually reasonable. Crime rate is something to consider -Concordia sits at 815.7 per 100K. Poverty rate is 8.7%, which is pretty low. The unemployment rate is 3.6%, which is pretty low. Average temperature is around 54--F, so expect cold winters. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Let me know your thoughts. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The suburbs are where most families end up. The weather takes some getting used to. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are surprisingly good, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

Weather-wise, the summers are excellent and winters are wild. You get used to it after the first year.

I've lived in Downtown for about 9 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. When I first moved here from New York, I was surprised by community vibe. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Active local events and festivals
- The cost of living scene is excellent

The downsides:
- Nightlife is limited
- Bugs and humidity in summer

Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for couples. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Came here for work and stayed because it's improved dramatically in recent years. The healthcare is honestly challenging and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
