Working in Copiague -salaries realistic?

Longtime lurker here, Just moved here 10 months ago and Average temperature is around 54--F, so expect cold winters. Poverty rate is 7.5%, which is pretty low. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Thoughts?

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are solid, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.
