Remote worker thinking about Cortland

We're a young couple and Crime rate is something to consider -Cortland sits at 294.8 per 100K. Poverty rate is 10.0%, which is pretty low. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Looking forward to hearing from you all.

We moved here with our family and I'm still on the fence after all this time. Schools in Oak Park area are underrated. Kids love it here.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 14 years ago from Seattle and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Midtown. It's excellent for what you get.

Jobs: The market is developing right now, especially in finance. If you're in hospitality you might struggle.

People: Generally pretty good. It took about 15 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: underrated. Tons of options if you like Vietnamese.

No regrets on my end..
