So, We're a young couple and Crime rate is something to consider -Cortland sits at 44.3 per 100K. It's a a small town city with about 7,091 people. The weather takes some getting used to. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The suburbs are where most families end up. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Night life is decent if you know the right spots.
