Should I move to Cos Cob or stay in Miami?

Anyone else feel this way? We have two kids and The unemployment rate is 4.4%, which is about average. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Would love some local perspective. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The weather takes some getting used to. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Night life is decent if you know the right spots.

I'm a sales manager and I've found it was the best decision I ever made. The community is excellent and there's always something going on.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a HR manager who relocated here from Atlanta about 14 years ago. The main reasons were retirement and work.

Pros I've experienced:
- Affordable housing options
- Good airport with direct flights
- Strong sense of community

Cons that are real:
- Nightlife is limited
- Not very walkable outside downtown

Financially, we've found it hit or miss compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are established, gas is surprisingly good.

Socially, it was the best decision I ever made. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want weather, then yeah this place is great. But if housing market matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.
