OK so I work in media and It's a a small town city with about 2,573 people. The unemployment rate is 3.1%, which is pretty low. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The city has invested a lot in new development. The food scene here is surprisingly good. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.

Came here for family and stayed because it's improved dramatically in recent years. The pet-friendliness is honestly tough and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

OK I'm going to write a proper review because I've seen too many incomplete answers.
Background: I'm a nurse, 43, moved here 6 years ago from Salt Lake City. I've lived in Uptown and Midtown, and traveled to most parts of the metro.
**What I love:**
1. Great outdoor activities nearby
2. Nice parks and green spaces
3. Four distinct seasons
4. The people are generally solid - I found my community within the first year
**What I don't love:**
1. Not a lot of cultural diversity
2. Chain restaurants dominate
3. The cultural scene situation is stable and doesn't seem to be improving
**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- Uptown: Great for remote workers. better than expected vibes, walkable.
- Midtown: More affordable, family-friendly.
**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.
**Cost comparison:**
Coming from Salt Lake City, everything felt decent. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are competitive. Gas is stable. You can live comfortably on $60K-$120K here.
**Final verdict:**
