Longtime lurker here, Household incomes average around $43,958 in Cross City. The median home value here is around $95,300, which is actually reasonable. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.

Public transit is surprisingly good here. You'll probably need a car for most things. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a project manager who relocated here from Portland about 14 years ago. The main reasons were cost of living and quality of life.

Pros I've experienced:
- Decent public transit for the size
- Strong job market in several industries
- Diverse dining options

Cons that are real:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Winters are long and cold

Financially, we've found it pretty good compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are pricey, gas is average.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want community vibe, then yeah this place is great. But if healthcare matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.
