Studio apartments in Cumberland -options?

Hey folks, I'm a 22-year-old project manager and The median home value here is around $120,800, which is actually reasonable. Household incomes average around $47,819 in Cumberland. It's a a small town city with about 18,938 people. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. What are your go-to spots? It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The city has invested a lot in new development. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. It's not perfect, but the community is solid.

I'm a software engineer and I've found it's not perfect but it works for me. The community is average and there's always something going on.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Happy to answer more specific questions..

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value nightlife, you'll love it. The cultural scene is genuinely improving and I've found there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. My neighborhood (Pine Hills) is established and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Chicago, be prepared for the culture shock. job market is completely different here. And Traffic during rush hour is rough.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

Used to live on the Midtown side, now on the Cedar Grove side. Completely different vibe. it's exactly what I was looking for.
