I'm originally from San Francisco and The unemployment rate is 2.6%, which is pretty low. Homes are going for about $110,200 on average. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. What would you do? People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.

Weather-wise, the summers are solid and winters are established. You get used to it after the first year.

I've lived in Westside for about 7 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
it's not perfect but it works for me. When I first moved here from Raleigh, I was surprised by nightlife. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- The traffic scene is solid
The downsides:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Not very walkable outside downtown
Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for remote workers. Happy to answer more specific questions..

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are challenging, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.
