Starting a business in Danville?

I'm a teacher here and Median household income is $42,778, which feels on the lower side for the area. Poverty rate is 18.7%, which is higher than I expected. Homes are going for about $110,200 on average. Average temperature is around 59--F, so the weather is moderate. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Worth the trade-offs? The food scene here is surprisingly good. The weather takes some getting used to. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The weather takes some getting used to. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The weather takes some getting used to. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Weather-wise, the summers are challenging and winters are manageable. You get used to it after the first year.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want public transit, then yeah this place is great. But if walkability matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

I've lived in Greenfield for about 8 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I have mixed feelings honestly. When I first moved here from New York, I was surprised by traffic. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Strong job market in several industries
- The job market scene is pretty good

The downsides:
- Rising rent and home prices
- Limited high-paying job options

Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for retirees. No regrets on my end..
