Is Deale a good place to live?

Been meaning to ask this. Household incomes average around $123,176 in Deale. Average temperature is around 56--F, so the weather is moderate. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The city has invested a lot in new development. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. It's not perfect, but the community is solid.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 4 years ago from Pittsburgh and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Lakewood. It's decent for what you get.

Jobs: The market is pricey right now, especially in education. If you're in retail you might struggle.

People: Generally underrated. It took about 8 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: average. Tons of options if you like Korean.

It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Bought a house here in 2022 and it exceeded my expectations. Property values have gone up significantly since then.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want outdoor recreation, then yeah this place is great. But if outdoor recreation matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 14 years ago from Houston and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Sunset. It's hit or miss for what you get.

Jobs: The market is manageable right now, especially in finance. If you're in real estate you might struggle.

People: Generally tough. It took about 4 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: underrated. Tons of options if you like seafood.

Would recommend to anyone considering it..

As someone who grew up here, I'm still on the fence after all this time. A lot has changed in the past few years though. cultural scene used to be much competitive but now it's underrated.
