Curious what people think. I've been here for 4 years and Rent is about $876/month for a decent place. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The weather takes some getting used to. Property taxes are high but you get good services. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 15 years ago from LA and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Maple Ridge. It's excellent for what you get.
Jobs: The market is stable right now, especially in finance. If you're in real estate you might struggle.
People: Generally solid. It took about 12 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: better than expected. Tons of options if you like Korean.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 1-bedroom. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Compared to San Diego it's pretty good.

Jobs: The market is growing right now, especially in education. If you're in marketing you might struggle.
People: Generally average. It took about 4 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: better than expected. Tons of options if you like Italian.
Would recommend to anyone considering it..
