Remote worker thinking about DeKalb

Hey everyone, I'm single, late 40s, and With a population of 40,464, DeKalb is a smaller city. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Should I be concerned?

Bought a house here in 2018 and it's not perfect but it works for me. Property values have gone down slightly since then.
