Is DeKalb good for remote workers?

First post here. We have two kids and The median home value here is around $202,900, which is actually reasonable. Rent is about $1,030/month for a decent place. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The weather takes some getting used to. Is this normal for DeKalb?

Hi all, Military spouse here. Homes are going for about $202,900 on average. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The weather takes some getting used to.

My family moved here when I was a kid. Rent is about $1,030/month for a decent place. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.
