Working remotely from Delphos

First post here. I grew up here but left for a while. The unemployment rate is 3.8%, which is pretty low. Median household income is $58,359, which feels about average for the area. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Anyone in a similar situation? Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Property taxes are high but you get good services.

I've lived in Greenfield for about 9 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I genuinely enjoy living here. When I first moved here from New York, I was surprised by food scene. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Close to major attractions
- The pet-friendliness scene is surprisingly good

The downsides:
- Road conditions need improvement
- Homeless population growing downtown

Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for couples. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem tough.

I've been here 7 years and there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The thing nobody mentions is walkability. It's reasonable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the community vibe is legit. And if you're into mountain biking, this place is solid.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Riverside side vs the Downtown side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Would recommend to anyone considering it..

I've been living here for 4 years and I'd say it's been a really good experience overall. The outdoor recreation is solid compared to other places I've lived. Overall Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

Used to live on the Eastside side, now on the Westside side. Completely different vibe. it's not perfect but it works for me.

Weather-wise, the summers are challenging and winters are wild. You get used to it after the first year.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is housing market. it's not perfect but it works for me. Worth doing your research before committing.
