Moving to Desert View Highlands with kids -good idea?

Hello, I'm originally from Nashville and It's a a small town city with about 3,389 people. The unemployment rate is 4.5%, which is about average. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Looking forward to hearing from you all.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. it was the best decision I ever made. Internet is excellent in most areas.

We moved here with our family and it's been a really good experience overall. Schools in East area are better than expected. Kids love it here.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem tough.

I've been here 6 years and there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The thing nobody mentions is job market. It's stable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the school system is legit. And if you're into rock climbing, this place is excellent.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Greenfield side vs the West side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
