It's a a small town city with about 5,437 people. Rent is about $1,164/month for a decent place. The weather takes some getting used to. The weather takes some getting used to. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.

I've been living here for 9 years and I'd say it's not perfect but it works for me. The dating scene is pretty good compared to other places I've lived. Overall Happy to answer more specific questions..

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem decent.
I've been here 7 years and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The thing nobody mentions is school system. It's established and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the housing market is legit. And if you're into hiking, this place is hit or miss.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The The Heights side vs the East side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
Would recommend to anyone considering it..
