Best neighborhoods in Douglass Hills

First post here. I work in media and Household incomes average around $92,826 in Douglass Hills. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. What do you all think? It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 2 years ago from Tampa and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Downtown. It's surprisingly good for what you get.

Jobs: The market is pricey right now, especially in healthcare. If you're in education you might struggle.

People: Generally hit or miss. It took about 6 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: pretty good. Tons of options if you like farm-to-table.

Hope this helps!.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a real estate agent who relocated here from Baltimore about 9 years ago. The main reasons were family and my partner's job.

Pros I've experienced:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Affordable housing options
- Diverse dining options

Cons that are real:
- Property taxes are high
- Far from beaches/mountains

Financially, we've found it decent compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are growing, gas is better than expected.

Socially, I'm still on the fence after all this time. Hope this helps!.
