Hey, I work in government and Crime rate is something to consider -Dumas sits at 175.0 per 100K. With a population of 14,362, Dumas is a small town. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The weather takes some getting used to. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. What are your go-to spots? The city has invested a lot in new development. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.
