Housing in Dumas compared to Baltimore

First post here. Poverty rate is 16.4%, which is higher than I expected. It's a a small town city with about 14,362 people. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Thoughts? There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that.

I've lived in East for about 1 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it was the best decision I ever made. When I first moved here from Dallas, I was surprised by outdoor recreation. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Lots of new development happening
- Affordable housing options
- The cultural scene scene is solid

The downsides:
- Limited public transit options
- Limited entertainment options

Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for couples. Good luck with whatever you decide..
