Starting a business in Dunn?

Anyone else feel this way? With a population of 8,512, Dunn is a small town. Crime rate is something to consider -Dunn sits at 573.3 per 100K. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want cost of living, then yeah this place is great. But if weather matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 14 years ago from Dallas and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: The market is competitive but not impossible. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Fairview. It's decent for what you get.

Jobs: The market is competitive right now, especially in retail. If you're in legal you might struggle.

People: Generally underrated. It took about 5 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: hit or miss. Tons of options if you like Indian.

Hope this helps!.
