Worst things about East Palo Alto nobody talks about
Hi all, Just moved here 9 months ago and Rent is about $2,209/month for a decent place. It's a a smaller city city with about 29,143 people. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. What are your go-to spots? Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.

My experience has been mostly positive. I'm still on the fence after all this time. The only thing I'd watch out for is community vibe. Other than that, Would recommend to anyone considering it..

Moved here from Miami about 6 years ago. the quality of life is solid. Still getting used to walkability but It's not for everyone but it works for us..

I've lived in Downtown for about 14 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
it's improved dramatically in recent years. When I first moved here from Charlotte, I was surprised by housing market. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Decent public transit for the size
- The job market scene is improving
The downsides:
- Not very walkable outside downtown
- Dating scene is rough
Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for couples. It's not for everyone but it works for us..
