Living in Easton -the reality

I'm a teacher here and The median home value here is around $169,200, which is actually reasonable. Median household income is $63,775, which feels about average for the area. You can expect to pay around $1,223 for rent here. The weather takes some getting used to. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Am I overthinking this? People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The city has invested a lot in new development. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a nurse who relocated here from Tampa about 2 years ago. The main reasons were family and retirement.

Pros I've experienced:
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Good healthcare facilities
- Strong job market in several industries

Cons that are real:
- Chain restaurants dominate
- Limited shopping options

Financially, we've found it excellent compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are reasonable, gas is underrated.

Socially, it was the best decision I ever made. Definitely worth checking out..
