Weekend activities in Easton?

So, My family moved here when I was a kid. Homes are going for about $169,200 on average. With a population of 29,079, Easton is a smaller city. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Worth the trade-offs? The food scene here is surprisingly good. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Property taxes are high but you get good services.

As someone who grew up here, I'm still on the fence after all this time. A lot has changed in the past few years though. safety used to be much pricey but now it's average.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is housing market. it's not perfect but it works for me. Worth doing your research before committing.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 6 years ago from Raleigh and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Maple Ridge. It's decent for what you get.

Jobs: The market is developing right now, especially in hospitality. If you're in government you might struggle.

People: Generally tough. It took about 7 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: improving. Tons of options if you like Mexican.

Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem surprisingly good.

I've been here 13 years and it was the best decision I ever made. The thing nobody mentions is traffic. It's established and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the school system is legit. And if you're into camping, this place is underrated.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Fairview side vs the North side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
