Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a electrician who relocated here from San Francisco about 6 years ago. The main reasons were work and school.

Pros I've experienced:
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Lots of new development happening
- Strong sense of community

Cons that are real:
- Not a lot of cultural diversity
- Limited shopping options

Financially, we've found it better than expected compared to where we came from. Older homes are where the value is. Groceries are wild, gas is hit or miss.

Socially, it's improved dramatically in recent years. Hope this helps!.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is healthcare. I love the pace of life here. Worth doing your research before committing.

As someone who grew up here, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. A lot has changed in the past few years though. safety used to be much wild but now it's underrated.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are better than expected, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a project manager who relocated here from Charlotte about 13 years ago. The main reasons were school and a fresh start.

Pros I've experienced:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Decent public transit for the size
- Good internet infrastructure

Cons that are real:
- Limited high-paying job options
- Limited shopping options

Financially, we've found it pretty good compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are stable, gas is better than expected.

Socially, it's exactly what I was looking for. Would recommend to anyone considering it..

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want cost of living, then yeah this place is great. But if public transit matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.
