Been meaning to ask this. I work in government and The unemployment rate is 1.6%, which is pretty low. Median household income is $51,731, which feels on the lower side for the area. Rent is about $769/month for a decent place. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The weather takes some getting used to. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The suburbs are where most families end up. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The city has invested a lot in new development. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable.
