Anyone else love living in El Dorado Hills?

Anyone else feel this way? Homes are going for about $870,300 on average. Poverty rate is 3.3%, which is pretty low. Household incomes average around $163,544 in El Dorado Hills. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The suburbs are where most families end up. Let me know your thoughts. The weather takes some getting used to. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.

Bought a house here in 2016 and I'm still on the fence after all this time. Property values have gone up significantly since then.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value community vibe, you'll love it. The healthcare is genuinely excellent and I've found it's been a really good experience overall. My neighborhood (North) is established and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Salt Lake City, be prepared for the culture shock. pet-friendliness is completely different here. And Rising rent and home prices.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.
