Been meaning to ask this. Been living here since 2011. Median household income is $50,947, which feels on the lower side for the area. With a population of 18,740, Elizabeth City is a small town. Rent is about $1,111/month for a decent place. The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. What are your go-to spots? Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Night life is decent if you know the right spots.
