Honest thoughts on life in Elizabeth

I've been here for 2 years and Median household income is $63,874, which feels about average for the area. The unemployment rate is 4.6%, which is about average. With a population of 136K, Elizabeth is a mid-size city. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The weather takes some getting used to. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

Pros:
- Great weather
- Easy commute
- Good healthcare facilities
- Walkable downtown
- Active local events

Cons:
- Traffic can be terrible
- Hot summers
- Rising rent prices
- Sprawl everywhere
- Lack of diversity
Am I wrong here? TIA! People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's changing fast — some good, some not so much.
